Overview
Created by Olivier Polge and launched in 2018, Coco Mademoiselle Intense gives Chanel’s modern floral-amber fragrance a warmer, fuller character.
It joined the Coco Mademoiselle collection seventeen years after the original’s 2001 debut. Polge’s aim was to give the fragrance a new dimension while keeping its recognizable identity. Intense has its own Eau de Parfum formula within that family.
Fresh citrus and flowers balance a deeper patchouli, vanilla and tonka bean base. That makes it a version to explore if you like the original’s style but want more emphasis on warmth and sweetness. The difference is in the balance of the fragrance, so the original Eau de Parfum and Intense can appeal for different reasons.

More warmth, more sweetness
Coco Mademoiselle Intense is worth trying if you want a warmer, richer perfume. The sweet, ambery side is a big part of the appeal, so this makes more sense for someone who enjoys that fullness than someone after a light, barely-there scent.
If you already like the original Eau de Parfum, compare them before switching. Intense takes the style in a richer direction, which may or may not be what you want. More intensity isn’t always an improvement—it comes down to your taste.
