The perfumer
Olivier Polge
About
Olivier Polge took over Chanel’s Perfume Creation and Development Laboratory in 2015, succeeding his father Jacques Polge. Born in Grasse, he grew up around fragrance while developing an interest in art. At Chanel, his role connects the house’s perfume heritage with the creation of new compositions.
Misia, introduced in 2015, was his first fragrance for the house; Gabrielle followed in 2017. These projects explore different floral ideas within Chanel’s collection. His work also includes Bleu de Chanel Parfum, represented here as its own version so it can be explored separately from the earlier Bleu compositions.
