Overview
Instinct After Dark takes the original family’s citrus-and-spice framework towards a warmer, sweeter finish.
Béatrice Piquet, one of the perfumers behind the first Instinct, created this 2008 interpretation. Its vanilla-amber character gives the evening theme a clear place in the fragrance itself.
It belongs to the first wave of Instinct variations, alongside Intense Instinct and the later Pure Instinct. The dark presentation signals the mood, while the aromatic freshness keeps it connected to the family. It remains an Eau de Toilette, with its own composition.

Instinct with a softer finish
After Dark keeps an aromatic opening but moves toward a warmer vanilla-and-amber finish. It is a useful comparison if the original Instinct feels too dry for your taste. If you want a sharply fresh cologne from beginning to end, that warmer direction may not be what you are looking for.
