Overview
La Petite Robe Noire turns the little black dress into a fragrance idea: something recognisable, playful and ready to be made your own.
Guerlain launched this widely available Eau de Parfum in 2012, after earlier boutique editions. Thierry Wasser reworked the fragrance for that broader release.
Its cherry-accented gourmand character sits in a bottle inspired by Guerlain’s historic designs, decorated with a dress silhouette. This 2012 Eau de Parfum is the reference point for a large family of later variations. Different dresses, subtitles and concentrations can represent different scents, so check more than the collection name.

Playful sweetness with a darker edge
La Petite Robe Noire is worth trying if cherry and sweet florals appeal to you, especially with a less sugary-looking presentation than many gourmands. The liquorice and tea character can be the deciding detail: interesting to some, distracting to others. Sample the EDP you intend to buy, because the many later editions can make the range surprisingly easy to mix up.
