Overview
Le Male turns the traditional barbershop fragrance into something warmer and sweeter.
Francis Kurkdjian created it for Jean Paul Gaultier in 1995, pairing the idea of clean aromatic freshness with a soft vanilla character.
The striped sailor torso is inseparable from the fragrance's identity, reflecting Gaultier's fashion vocabulary. This original Eau de Toilette is the foundation of a large Le Male family. Later releases such as Le Parfum and Elixir are different compositions, so the original is the starting point for understanding the collection.
