Overview
Bleu de Chanel Parfum takes the collection in a deeper, more wood-focused direction. Created by Olivier Polge in 2018, it builds its character around New Caledonian sandalwood.
It continues Bleu de Chanel’s theme of independence, presented in the same restrained blue bottle. The Parfum is a separate interpretation of the fragrance: its appeal lies in the way the fresh opening gives way to a fuller, more concentrated woody impression.
Sandalwood supplies the smoothness and warmth at its center. Where the Eau de Parfum combines woods with a more pronounced ambery and musky character, the Parfum makes the wood itself the main attraction. It is the version to explore when that warm, enveloping side of Bleu matters most to you.

For the warmer, woodier side of Bleu
This is the Bleu to try if warm woods appeal to you more than a big burst of freshness. There’s still a fresh opening, but the woody side is the main reason to put the Parfum on your list.
Don’t assume it’s automatically better than the Eau de Parfum. If you like a brighter balance, you may prefer that version. Try them side by side and leave them for a while before choosing. What you enjoy later matters just as much as the first spray.
