Overview
À la Rose puts a fresh rose bouquet at the centre of the experience, showing a lighter floral side of Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
The 2014 Eau de Parfum brings together two rose varieties, Damascena and Centifolia, within a softly musky setting. Its name reads as a dedication to the flower, and its clear bottle keeps the presentation as direct as the idea.
This is the original Eau de Parfum, distinct from the later L’eau À la Rose and L’Homme À la Rose. It is a useful starting point for someone exploring the house through flowers rather than its famous amber and oud fragrances.

Let the rose be the reason
À la Rose is an appealing candidate if you want rose to feel fresh and pretty rather than dark, spicy or syrupy. The relatively straightforward floral idea is the attraction; it does not need an oud backdrop to have a point of view.
If you want a dramatic transformation or lots of contrast, that simplicity may leave you wanting more. Price is the other consideration. Compare it with a few rose perfumes you already like and decide whether this particular fresh, musky balance is the one you want.
