Overview
Amyris Femme is a bright, softly polished fragrance from the more approachable side of Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
It arrived in 2012 alongside Amyris Homme. The pair shares a theme of amyris wood and iris, interpreted as a feminine Eau de Parfum and a masculine Eau de Toilette. The name comes from the Caribbean tree also known as candlewood.
The original Femme combines a fresh floral mood with a warm woody foundation. A later Extrait de Parfum explores the Amyris idea differently; the gold-capped Eau de Parfum is the original version to look for when comparing them.

Easy to like, with a soft floral finish
Amyris Femme is a sensible place to start if you want a polished floral without the weight of a big amber perfume. The fresh opening and soft, powdery character make it more approachable than some of the house’s bolder releases.
Its restraint may be the drawback if you want an unusual statement scent. At this price, pleasant and easy are only enough if you really enjoy the way it smells. Try the Eau de Parfum specifically; the Extrait is a separate choice, not simply a bigger dose of the same thing.
