Overview
Aqua Universalis Forte takes the house’s clean, airy signature and gives it a fuller floral presence without abandoning the feeling of freshness.
Launched in 2011, it builds on the original Aqua Universalis Eau de Toilette from 2009. Forte borrows a musical term for playing loudly: Kurkdjian’s challenge was to make an airy fragrance feel more substantial. It was introduced as an Eau de Parfum, despite the unusually high concentration highlighted at launch.
The gold cap helps distinguish this version from the original silver-capped Eau de Toilette. Aqua Universalis Cologne Forte, introduced later, is another interpretation with a similar name, not a replacement label for this perfume.

A fuller take on freshly washed
Forte is the one to investigate if the clean-linen idea appeals to you but you want more floral body than the original Aqua Universalis. It keeps that bright, polished direction rather than turning into a heavy evening perfume.
The clean musk can still feel quite soapy. If laundry-like fragrances are not your thing, a higher concentration will not change the basic appeal. Compare this with the Eau de Toilette on scent, rather than assuming Forte automatically means better.
