Overview

Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait is the red-bottle interpretation of MFK’s crystal-inspired signature.

Introduced in 2017, it reworks the original Eau de Parfum with a fuller, almond-accented character while retaining its airy, mineral warmth. The red glass echoes the colour associated with Baccarat crystal.

The Extrait is a composition to compare, not simply a stronger setting on the original. Both versions express the same idea, but their balance and feel are different enough to make sampling worthwhile.

The red bottle deserves its own sample

The Extrait is tempting if you already like Baccarat Rouge 540 and want a fuller, softer-edged take. The almond character can be a real reason to prefer it. It also costs more, and the regular EDP may be the version whose airy quality you enjoy most. More concentrated doesn’t automatically mean more enjoyable.
