Overview
Lumière Noire Pour Femme explores the contrast in its name, Black Light: a floral fragrance with brightness above a darker, earthier foundation.
Francis Kurkdjian introduced the feminine Eau de Parfum in 2009 alongside Lumière Noire Pour Homme. It sits on the more dramatic side of the house’s first collection, drawing on the floral chypre tradition rather than the freshly washed mood of Aqua Universalis.
The gold-capped square bottle distinguishes it from the silver-capped Homme. Its identity is poised and spicy, with a distinctly green floral edge. The later Elixir used a concentrated roll-on format; this is the original Eau de Parfum spray.

For someone who likes a floral with character
Lumière Noire Pour Femme is a good one to investigate if sweet, soft rose perfumes tend to leave you wanting more. The earthy, spicy side gives it a sharper personality, and its classic feel is a large part of the appeal.
That also makes it a more particular taste. The green floral edge can feel elegant to one person and quite forceful to another. If you prefer easy, sugary florals, start with a sample. There is more going on here than the promise of a pretty rose.
