Overview

The gold-bar bottle tells you what 1 Million is about before you spray it: a bold, playful take on luxury.

Launched under the Paco Rabanne name in 2008, it was created by Christophe Raynaud, Olivier Pescheux and Michel Girard. Its sweet, spicy leather character became the starting point for a much larger Million collection.

This is the original Eau de Toilette. The many later releases share its name and gold imagery, but they are different fragrances, so checking the wording on the bottle matters. The original is a useful starting point if you want to understand the line’s exuberant style.

For someone who likes their fragrance to make an entrance

1 Million makes sense if sweet, spicy fragrances are your thing. It has more warmth and attitude than a straightforward fresh scent, which is also why it may feel too much if you prefer something understated. Start with the original EDT when comparing the range; buying a different Million bottle does not necessarily mean getting this scent at a different strength.
