Overview
Oud Cashmere Mood explores the softer, enveloping side of the house’s oud theme, using the feel of cashmere as its starting point.
It arrived in 2013 with Oud Silk Mood and Oud Velvet Mood. The three extracts followed the original 2012 Oud, turning fabrics and their textures into different perfume ideas. Cashmere takes the warm amber direction of the trio.
The dark bottle and Extrait de Parfum format are part of the original Mood presentation. Its name suggests softness, but the oud character still matters; it is not simply a gentle vanilla fragrance.

Soft does not necessarily mean easy
Cashmere Mood is most interesting if you like warmth and sweetness around an unmistakably woody oud. The resins give the idea a rounded feel, making it a different proposition from a dry, austere wood perfume.
The word cashmere can be misleading if it makes you expect a faint, clean skin scent. Oud can still bring a forceful or animalic impression. Try a small amount first, especially if sweet amber perfumes already tend to feel heavy to you.
