The 2026 Oud Velvet Mood reimagines velvet through peach-like softness, supple leather and oud.
Francis Kurkdjian returns to a name first used in 2013, but this interpretation has a distinctly fruity, suede-like character. The official inspiration is warm sand and the tactile softness of velvet against the skin.
It is not a straight return of the original spicy, resinous Oud Velvet Mood. The 2026 edition is the one to seek if you are interested in the new peach-and-suede direction.

The peach and suede idea makes this an interesting addition if you enjoy soft leather fragrances with a fruity side. It may not be what an admirer of the darker 2013 Velvet Mood expects. Sample the 2026 release specifically, especially if you are buying from a listing that omits the year.
