Anne Flipo

Anne Flipo is a master perfumer whose work spans major fashion houses and ingredient-focused fragrances. She joined IFF in 2004, after discovering her vocation while studying perfumery in Versailles. Her creations and collaborations include Chloé Love Story, Lady Million and fragrances for Jo Malone London.

Gardening and the natural world are recurring sources of inspiration. In interviews, she describes neroli as a particularly important material, connected to childhood memories, alongside basil, jasmine sambac, patchouli and iris. She approaches composition through all five senses, imagining textures and moods as well as smells before developing a formula.
