Frank Voelkl

Frank Voelkl is a German-born master perfumer at dsm-firmenich. After childhood years in Germany, the Netherlands and France, he studied at ISIPCA in Versailles. Paris helped turn an early sensitivity to smells into a professional interest, while memories of nature and travel continued to shape his creative approach.

Voelkl describes emotional connection as the purpose of his work. French Polynesia is a particular source of inspiration, and an early composition centered on the tiare flower.
