Olivia Giacobetti
About
Olivia Giacobetti trained at Robertet before establishing her own perfume laboratory, Iska. Her work often begins with an atmosphere or a small detail from everyday life, using scent to capture a passing impression. She is particularly associated with fig accords and with compositions that translate natural settings into perfume.
Her collaboration with Frédéric Malle began in 2000 and produced En Passant. Malle describes her gift as the ability to capture an atmosphere with the sensitivity of a photographer. Diptyque Philosykos, also represented in Scentolio’s catalogue, offers another route into her work through its portrait of the fig tree.
