Overview
Chance brings a playful idea—taking an opportunity when it appears—to Chanel’s fragrance wardrobe.
The circular bottle breaks from the house’s familiar square silhouettes. Jacques Polge created the original Chance line, and this Eau de Parfum followed in 2005, after the Eau de Toilette launched in 2002.
Its floral, patchouli-led character has a warm, rounded feel. This is the original Chance Eau de Parfum, not one of the Eau Tendre, Eau Fraîche or Eau Vive variations. Those names signal different compositions, not simply different colours of the same perfume.

A fuller take on an everyday floral
Chance EDP offers a floral style with a little more weight and warmth behind it. That can make it appealing if very light florals feel unfinished to you. If patchouli is usually the part you dislike in perfume, give this one time on skin before deciding. Check that the bottle says Eau de Parfum when comparing it with the original EDT.
