Chance Eau Fraîche Eau de Parfum arrived in 2023, sixteen years after the original Eau de Toilette.
Olivier Polge revisited the green, sparkling side of Chanel’s Chance collection, aiming to give it more body while retaining its freshness. The familiar round bottle keeps the line’s identity immediately recognisable.
Chanel describes this as a new composition rather than a simple increase in concentration. That distinction matters when choosing between the two: the Eau de Parfum adds a fuller, warmer dimension to the fresh, woody idea, so an EDT favourite is a reason to sample it rather than assume it will be identical.

Freshness with a little more substance
This is a good comparison point if you enjoy fresh fragrances but sometimes find them too slight. The EDP keeps the bright direction while adding weight. If the lightness of the Eau de Toilette is exactly what you love, try both before upgrading on the strength label alone. More concentrated does not automatically mean a better fit.
