Overview
Gabrielle takes its name from Gabrielle Chanel, the woman behind ‘Coco’.
Introduced in 2017, Olivier Polge’s Eau de Parfum marked a new chapter for the house rather than another variation of an existing fragrance. It presents a luminous floral character in a finely drawn square bottle designed by Sylvie Legastelois.
The bottle’s pale gold colouring and light-catching shape are central to that idea of radiance. This original Eau de Parfum is the starting point of the Gabrielle collection; Essence, L’Eau and Parfum are separate interpretations worth distinguishing when shopping.

A polished floral, without the drama
Gabrielle is worth considering if you like a clean, composed floral rather than something syrupy or deliberately unusual. Its restraint is part of the appeal, but could also leave you wanting more personality. Try the original and Essence side by side if both are available: choosing by the shared Gabrielle name alone is easy to get wrong.
