Néroli Outrenoir

Néroli Outrenoir is built around a contrast: the brightness of neroli against a darker tea-like background.

Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk created it in 2016 for Guerlain's L'Art & La Matière collection.

The title's reference to darkness fits that interplay, giving a familiar fresh floral subject a more reflective, textured character. It is still recognisably a citrus-aromatic fragrance, but the smoky and earthy facets make it a different proposition from a simple summer cologne. The collection presents it as a unisex Eau de Parfum.
