Overview
Absolue Pour le Soir is one of the house’s more daring early perfumes: a dense, honeyed amber with a deliberately animalic edge.
The 2010 Eau de Parfum followed Cologne Pour Le Soir, taking its evening theme in a more intense direction. It belongs to the same morning-and-night project as Absolue Pour Le Matin, but the contrast between the two is striking. Here, comfort comes with roughness and warmth rather than freshly washed softness.
This is the original 2010 release. The fragrance introduced under the same name in 2024 revisits the idea; collectors looking for the earlier perfume need to check which version is being offered.

Comforting and challenging at the same time
If you enjoy warm amber perfumes but are tired of easy vanilla sweetness, this is a more adventurous direction. Honey and smoky resins give it richness, while the spicy, animalic side keeps it from becoming a straightforward cosy scent.
That edge is a real reason to pause before buying. It can come across as sweaty or dirty, which is exactly the attraction for some people and a deal-breaker for others. A strong average rating does not make this an easy blind buy.
