Overview
Sauvage Elixir is the concentrated, spice-rich member of Dior’s Sauvage family. Created by François Demachy in 2021, it gives lavender and warm woods a much larger role.
Dior likens its construction to a fine liqueur, emphasizing richness and concentration. The short, midnight-blue bottle also sets it apart from the taller Sauvage bottles. Although it shares the family name, Elixir has a distinct character of its own.
Warm spice arrives early, followed by aromatic lavender and a sweet, woody base. The familiar freshness is still present, but the overall direction is darker and denser than the citrus-and-pepper Eau de Toilette. Knowing another Sauvage version is a useful reference, but Elixir deserves a separate try rather than an assumption that it will smell the same at greater strength.

Try a little before going all in
Sauvage Elixir is for someone who wants a bold, rich fragrance. Dior describes it as highly concentrated, spicy and woody, so don’t buy it expecting a small step up from the fresh Sauvage you may already know.
Start with a small spray when you try it. You want to find out whether you enjoy that intensity in the places you normally wear fragrance. If subtle scents are more your thing, be cautious. The biggest presence doesn’t automatically make it the best choice for you.
