Overview

Sauvage Parfum is François Demachy’s 2019 interpretation of Dior’s signature, turning its fresh opening toward smooth woods and ambery warmth.

Dior describes the inspiration as an open landscape at night, with the scent of a fire in the air. The fragrance continues the Sauvage story while changing its texture: creamy sandalwood becomes more central, supported by mandarin and the warmth of tonka bean.

The Eau de Toilette is more focused on citrus and pepper, and the Eau de Parfum brings vanilla into that fresh, spicy structure. Parfum gives more room to the rounded woody base. It is also distinct from Sauvage Elixir, whose rich spices and lavender take the collection in another direction.

Worth a look if you prefer warmth

Sauvage Parfum is worth trying if you like a fresh scent with a richer, warmer side. That balance is the reason to consider it, rather than the idea that Parfum must be the best bottle in the range.

If the bright side of Sauvage is what you love, compare this with the Eau de Toilette before choosing. And if you already own another version, a sample should help you decide whether this adds something you’re missing. There’s no need to collect every concentration.
